Hannah has worked with my two sons, ages 10 and 8, for 3 years. In the second grade, my older son was having difficulty synthesizing what he was reading even though he read beyond his grade level. Within a year of working with Hannah, he was discussing and writing about characters' perspectives, personalities, and relationships. In the next two years, he had mastered writing essays that summarized fiction and non-fiction, identified central messages, and argued his thesis with supporting details. By the time he applied to private schools, he was able to tackle writing strong responses.
 
Hannah tremendously supported my son's reading and writing, pushed him beyond his comfort zone and helped him to get into the 4 top private schools in New York. In his first year, in he received all 4s on his progress report and received feedback from his English teacher that he has already mastered many of the essay writing concepts they are learning in class.
